Adopt-a-Spot
Adopt-a-Spot Carpinteria Beautiful volunteers have picked up more than 10,000 (yes, TEN THOUSAND) sacks
full of litter from around our little town. That’s an enormous amount of unsightly, unhealthful
trash that’s NOT littering Carpinteria’s streets, sidewalks and parks and NOT washing into our creeks and ocean.
A huge HURRAH! goes out to all our volunteer Spotters. They’re a hard-working team that currently over
40 strong and still growing. These “Spotters” have made such a difference and so successful
that we were able to retire the twice-yearly Community Pride Days. Our goal now is to keep Carpinteria
“spotless” all year around.
Who can Adopt-a-Spot?
- Seniors do it
- teens do it (this is a great way to earn community service hours!)
- tweens do it
- couples do it
- whole families do it
- service clubs, dog walkers, power walker and kids at school do it
There’s always room for more help.
